Wednesday 30th September 13 00 - 14 30 (CEST), webinar

Following the UK withdrawal from the EU, the UK’s transitional period comes to an end on the 31 December 2020. This will have an impact on how businesses transfer data to and from the EU.

Join the UK Law Society for a discussion on how data flows can best be facilitated, both in the event that a Data Adequacy decision is approved, and in the event it is not.

Panelists include:

  • Peter Wright, Managing Partner of Digital Law
  • Anna Buchta, European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS)
  • Rhys Harry, Ministry of Justice
  • Anna Drozd, Policy Adviser, UK Law Societies Brussels Office

The discussion will address the UK’s new status as an EU Third Country and is expected to explore the implications of the ruling by the European Court of Justice (CJEU) in the recent Schrems case.

We hope you are able to join us for this timely discussion. Please register your attendance, with dial in details to follow, and do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions.
