Britcham EU&Belgium and the UK Law Societies Joint Brussels Office are hosting our latest webinar discussion on the future of UK-EU trade flows. This discussion will focus on the changing landscape in the field of VAT.
It will be held on Wednesday 3 February 12 00 - 13 00 CET
As the dust settles on the new arrangements for importing and exporting both goods and services, it is clear that firms risk seeing their products being held at the border or tax liabilities being reported to the wrong authority, if they fail to get up to speed with the new rules. This session will ensure businesses are aware of the major changes and how to navigate the future processes. In particular, our panel will steer businesses on how to address:
- U.K. vat law for e-commerce under €135 (and how to register for a non U.K. company)
- U.K. import vat for physical shipments
- EU vat rules for imports into EU
- How they are applied in the EU
We are delighted to be joined for this discussion by David Pruden and Edward Brett, who are part of the VAT Principles Team at HMRC, and Martin Shah, Partner in Corporate Tax at Simmons&Simmons. The event will be moderated by Daniel Dalton, Chief Executive of Britcham EU&Belgium.
We will aim to ensure practical guidance and support throughout this event, and welcome participation from the wider business community, as well as the legal and accounting professions.
