In its monhtly package of infringement decisions, the Commission published which legal actions it is pursuing against member states which do not comply with their obligations under EU law.
In the area of internal market, industry, entrepreneurship and SMEs, the Commission decided to send out letters of formal notice to all 28 members states. It urges them to improve their Points of Single Contact (PSC) and to provide more user-friendly one-stop-shops for professionals and service providers. The PSCs are designed to provide information on the regulatory environment in each member state as set out by the Services Directive and Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive. The letters point out the deficiencies in online availability and quality of information on procedures and requirements that are relevant to those service providers and professionals who want to make use of the Single Market rights.
