While waiting to decide if the UK will leave the EU on 29 March with or without a deal (or indeed if it will leave at all on that date), both the UK Government and the EU Commission have been publishing advice on what will happen in the case of no-deal.
The Commission Brexit preparedness advice can be found here while you can read the UK Government advice here.
Not to be outdone, the Law Society of England & Wales has published a series of no-deal papers back in 2018 aimed to give guidance to solicitors, on topics of relevance to lawyers (see our article here). The papers are:
- Civil and commercial cooperation
- Data protection
- Family law
- Providing legal services in the EU
Most recently, the Law Society published further no deal guidance on:
- Criminal justice and security cooperation
- Intellectual property
- VAT
- Consumer law
You can find them all here.
Good reading!
