On 16 September, the Law Society of England and Wales published its report on access to justice and technology. The report is based on an assessment of 50 initiatives and qualitative interviews with more than 45 stakeholders. It explores whether technology is the key to unlock the potential of law, justice and access to rights.
The report concludes that while technology certainly has the role to play, it is not a silver bullet to making the justice and legal system more accessible. To unlock access to justice and innovation, the sector will need increased support from the Government and the right processes from the practitioners and the third sector.
