Yesterday, the UK Government published the Draft Withdrawal Agreement (DWA). Law Society of England and Wales prepared a brief overview of the key provisions and what they mean for the profession.
We analysed the provisions on recognition of qualifications, representation before the Court of Justice, transition, ongoing judicial co-operation in civil judicial cooperation, ongoing intellectual property rights, dispute resolution mechanism and institutional arrangements.
Earlier this year we have prepared two Q&As on lawyers’ practice rights: for EU lawyers in the UK and UK lawyers in the EU. We are currently reviewing both documents in light of the text published yesterday.
Finally, earlier in November, the Law Society of England and Wales published a series of no deal notices in response to Government technical notices.
