Maria Giovanna Manieri
Maria Giovanna Manieri leads the development of PICUM’s legal strategies and is responsible for the management of PICUM’s two working groups on borders and detention and legal strategies. She also represents PICUM at key events and forums where undocumented migrants’ rights are discussed including the Frontex Consultative Forum on Fundamental Rights. Maria Giovanna joined PICUM in 2012. Prior to that, she worked as human rights lawyer in the UK. Maria Giovanna Manieri holds a Master's Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic School and is a qualified lawyer and member of the Spanish Bar Association.
